Q: Placing an order

Ordering online with DiscountHorse.com is as easy as 1,2,3. First, browse through our selection of exciting items in over 70 categories and choose the item(s) you would like to purchase. Then add the item to your shopping cart and proceed shopping or continue to check out. That's it! It's that easy.

Q: Canceling my order

After you have clicked "Place Order," your order begins to process and you cannot make any online changes to your order. To change or cancel your order prior to shipment, you must contact a Customer Service representative. Please note that most orders process quickly and can enter the shipping process within minutes. If your order has already entered the shipping process, it cannot be changed or canceled.

Q: Sales tax

DiscountHorse.com is required by law to charge appropriate sales tax for orders with ship to addresses within the state of California.

Q: Security

Absolutely! We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to ensure that your personal information cannot be intercepted and read by a third party. Your personal information and your credit card information are converted into bits of code that are transmitted securely. None of our customers have ever reported fraudulent use of their credit card information as a result of giving it to us over the Web, but if you ever suspect that your credit card information is being used without your knowledge, you should contact your credit card company immediately.

Returns

Q: I received a free gift with my purchase but I chose the wrong size/color, how can I handle this?

You can return the free item for exchange, just include a $6.50 handling charge for this.

Q: Credit

You can expect a refund within 30 days of our receiving your returned product. You will be refunded the shipping cost only if the return is a result of a shipping error on our part.

Q: Return Instructions


We want you to be fully satisfied with every item that you purchase online from Discount Horse. If you are not satisfied with an item that you have purchased online, you may return the item within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price, minus the shipping, handling, gift wrap, or other charges.

The item must be returned in new condition, in original packaging (whenever possible), and with all paperwork, parts and accessories including any FREE GIFTS, to ensure full credit. We charge a restocking fee if items are used.

Here are the basic steps:
  • Returns must be within 30 Day Return Period
  • You need to call us for a Return Authorization. The number is 888-324-4759
  • Please refer to your Invoice for return address
  • Make a copy of your invoice and include it with the return. Please give us a Return Reason and if would like to exchange or refund.
  • We cannot accept C.O.D. deliveries.
  • Insure package for proper protection.
  • Gifts with Purchase need to be returned with the purchase. If you would like to keep the gift item we can credit back your purchase but less the retail price of the gift.
For your protection, we recommend that you use UPS Ground for your return

Q: Shipping options

We currently offer 6 shipping options within the United States. You may choose Free Ground Shipping if your order qualifies and you are in the 48 contiguous states. If not, or you prefer to expedite, you can choose UPS Ground or one of the Expedited Shipping methods. Most orders in the US are received in just 5 to 7 business days (do not count weekends or the day it ships as a shipping day) . Expedited will deliver your order within 1 -3 business depending on what you choose. We are sorry, but we do not offer Saturday or Sunday delivery. For complete UPS shipping information visit www.ups.com. Canadian orders are shipped USPS, US Mail Priority. Although on checkout it will say UPS we send them US Mail as this has proven a better method according to our Canadian customers.

Q: Shipping outside the United States

DiscountHorse.com will ship to Canada using US Mail Priority. We do not ship to any other locations

Q: Shipping to a P.O. box

We ship via UPS to a physical address in the lower 48 states. If we are shipping to you in Canada, Puerto Rico or Hawaii we us the US Postal Service, therefore, a PO Box in this circumstance is fine or a physical address that receives mail. For UPS requirements, please visit their web site at www.ups.com.

Q: Track packages

Find the UPS tracking number in the e-mail we sent you confirming that your order has been shipped. Use that number at www.ups.com to check the status of your order online. It may take 24 hours before tracking information appears on the UPS's web site.

If your order appears late, remember:
  • Credit card approval must be received prior to processing.
  • Overnight orders placed after 12 noon EST are processed the following day.
  • Expedited delivery only occurs on business days (Mondays through Fridays, excluding holidays).

Q: Order Status

You can look at past and pending orders. You must be a Registered Customer to use Order Status. Click here to check your Order Status. This service is only available to customers who created an account prior to finalizing their order.

Also, you will receive two e-mails after you have placed your order and provided us with a valid e-mail address:
  • The first confirms that your order has been received (your order confirmation number will be included); this e-mail should arrive within approximately 24 hours.
  • The second confirms that your order has been shipped (any tracking information will be included); this e-mail should arrive within approximately 24 - 48 hours following authorization of your credit card and verification of your information. An exception would be if you place your order late on Friday or over the weekend. The following business day to process would be Monday.

Q: Shipping Charges

Your shipping charges will appear in the box marked "shipping" at checkout for your convenience.

All shipments are via United Parcel Service. Your rate is calculated based on weight and the delivery location. All expedited shipping rates are calculated based on your order weight and delivery location. Please refer to the Shipping Estimate feature in your cart screen, after adding your items, to estimate the amount of your shipping cost. When your order is ready to ship, it generally takes 5-10 business days for delivery, unless close to a major holiday. No weekend or holiday delivery is available. Oversized, dropship, and overweight packages may incur additional charges and service restrictions. You may also choose to upgrade Expedited delivery for an additional charge. If a PO BOX is given as a shipping address we will ship US Mail if possible or we will contact you.

We currently ship within the 50 United States and Canada. Free shipping does not apply to Canada, Hawaii or Alaska. You can see the rates upon checkout. Thank You.

Q: Elite Sports Medicine Boot Size Chart

ELITE SMB SIZE CHART

Your horses" fetlock measurement should be smaller than the boots circumference but larger than the size below it. For instance, if your horse measure 10.5 inches, you should choose the Large Front Boot, not the Medium because you will not have enough overlap if any.

Q: Sports Medicine Boot II & SMB3 Size Chart

It is important to choose the correct size for your horse to get the optimum benefits from SMB II and 3 boots. In the chart below there are circumference and height measurements. The circumference measurement of the boot is more critical than the height because the boot must fit around the horse's leg and overlap 1/2" to 1 1/2"to be effective. When sizing, the height of the horse and the coarseness of the bone should be taken into account, but these should not be the only determining factors.
